Save Money & Earn Free Items By Product Testing

As a traveler I am constantly in this cycle of work, save, journey. Does this sound familiar?

If so, you definitely understand the importance of stretching your dollar, euro, rupee, etc… and most likely prefer to fill your life with memories and adventures. But our lifestyle doesn’t mean that we have to give up the latest gadgets, beauty products, and fashion accessories! In fact, in order to enjoy the best of both worlds I started researching product testing and how to get free items by mail.

It’s definitely hit or miss, and I’ve probably spent hours wasting my time taking surveys and participating in panels, only to receive NIENTE, NADA, ZILCH, कुछ नहीं, KITU, NIETS, NOTHING… and instead, was thrown into a pool of collected data that my next visible ad most likely reflected. *Sigh*

Don’t worry, you won’t have to because in order to save you some time, and hopefully money, I’ve put together a list of the best product testing websites I’ve found. Over the years, I’ve gotten some really cool items from these companies that I actually used. Some of which include snacks, pillows, makeup and skincare, clothing, household, and accessories.

Unfortunately, some of these websites might not be available in all countries. However, if you have a permanent address in the country the website is available, you can still have the product mailed and use it when you get back from your trip! I did this for the entire year I lived in India and had some awesome goodies to open when I arrived back in the US! 😀

They aren’t in order from best to worst, so make sure to check them all out as they differ in products available to test, and each has their own unique theme.

Once you’re finished with this list, make sure to check out how to earn money from home with this list of survey websites that actually pay you!!

BzzAgent, Product Testing, Free Products, Free Samples, Paid Surveys

With a wide variety to choose from, BzzAgent has earned its spot as being one of my most favorite product testing websites.

BzzAgent is open to France, Germany, the USA, the UK, and Brazil.

You’re able to try a variety of products, such as health, household, and even products suited towards your career (I once received a whole box full of hair coloring products).

You will be given surveys that ask you about your general interests, household, what types of items you like, etc, and from here is how BzzAgent gets an idea of what to send you for product testing.

If you are selected for an item you do not like, you do have the option to decline. Declining will not hurt your relationship with the company, nor will it affect your chances of being eligible for other product testing opportunities. This flexibility allows you to ensure that products you receive are those you are generally interested in.

All products are full sized, and BzzAgent will usually send you coupons and other goodies that you can pass out to your friends… Or keep for yourself, I won’t tell! After testing the product, you will find numerous activities, similar to Influensters’ platform), that will need to be completed to raise your Bzz Score (which affects how often you are notified to receive a product for free).

Members of Mypoints will be thrilled to know that they are both partners, and you can receive extra bonus points for completing your activities through BzzAgent.

Toluna, Free Products, Free Samples, Paid Surveys, Product Testing

A mix of a survey website, product testing, and social media, Toluna caters to their audience in a different way.

You’ll appreciate how easy it is to earn points, as surveys typically only take 15 to 20 minutes to complete – for earnings up 5000 points.

Once you have reached a minimum of 30,000 points you are eligible to start redeeming for electronic gift cards to major retailers, cash deposited into your PayPal account, or you can use to enter sweepstakes with your points instead.

There is also a section to become eligible for product testing. Toluna usually has three products visible, one available to test, and two that are coming soon (which the dates noted). It’s quite easy to express your interest by clicking on the “test” button. Afterwards, you will be given an explanation and time frame of what is expected and how to know you’ve been selected to test the product.

Products do range, but you expect to see more beauty products, like hair care, skin care, and makeup being offered.

Influenster, Product Testing, Free Samples, Free Products

A great way to find out the latest in beauty and fashion products is by joining Influenster. They offer VoxBoxes to influencers who are willing to participate in their activities for product testing.

You can expect to spend a little more time here, completing your activities, especially if you want to stay on the “Good List” to keep receiving free products. Some of these activities include uploading receipts, posting on your social media websites, to leaving reviews. You are allotted at least 2 to 4 weeks to complete, which is extremely helpful to those of us who are moms, have busy work schedules, or travel.

Influenster does give you certain surveys or snaps, as they like to call them, that lets their company know what products you’re interested in, have tried, liked, disliked, etc..

In past VoxBoxes of my own, I have gotten Ralph Lauren perfume, Dior Mascara, full-size shampoos and conditioners, body lotions, etc… and they’ve all been full sized.

Product Testing, Paid Surveys, Free Products, Free SamplesFree Samples, Free Products, Paid Surveys, Try Before You Buy

Daily Goodie Box & PinchMe

Subscription boxes are all the rage right now considering the majority of both men and women are working most of the day. So when do we get time to go to the shopping malls? Most likely, we don’t.

It’s exactly this reason that companies, like PinchMe and Daily Goodie Box, have put together subscription boxes that are delivered monthly, or perhaps quarterly, to your house. These boxes are filled with everyday household items, essentials, pet products, and even coffee and teas for us to try, along with samples if we love them and want to purchase again.

Did I mention these companies offer these monthly boxes for free??

I know it sounds too good to be true, however, you don’t have to enter any personal information, besides your name (which can be fake for all they care) and address, and you will never be asked for any type of credit card information, nor pay shipping and handling! 😀 😀

The only thing they typically ask you to do is write a review just letting them know how much you honestly liked or disliked the product. That’s it!!

The Pink Panel, Paid Surveys, Product Testing, Free Samples

The Pink Panel

We all know how expensive beauty products can be, and not just for women, but for men too. I know plenty of men that like to look and feel good about their appearance just as much as some of my girlfriends do. However, it all comes with quite a hefty price tag, I mean COME ON you want $25 just for a mascara??

If you feel the same way, I highly encourage you to check out The Pink Panel. This is another no-strings-attached, no credit card required, product testing company that wants to give YOU some of the hottest, FULL SIZE, beauty products in exchange for your opinion.

It’s super easy to sign up and you don’t have to troll their website for survey opportunities. If The Pink Panel sees that you’re a potential match to test and try one of their featured products, you’ll receive an email ASAP and a questionnaire to fill out.

If you’re interested in product testing, you have to sign up through their facebook link.

Social Nature, Product Testing, Paid Surveys, Free Samples, Free Products

If you’re a vegetarian or vegan, you will instantly fall in love with the products SocialNature has to offer. However, it is only open for those living in Canada and United States.

Roughly, every week a new item for product testing will be posted for you to try.

All you do to show interest in testing a particular product is to click “Want It” and afterward fill out a short survey that will ask questions like if you have ever tried the brand, what are some of your favorite similar brands, etc. The survey only takes about 3 minutes to complete.

Upon being selected as a product tester, SocialNature will send you an e-mail to notify you, and will either mail the full-size product or a coupon (for the full value) that can be redeemed at your local grocery store.

Afterwards, in order to continue product testing for SocialNature, you will be asked to write an honest review and have the option to share on your social media (though this step is not required, just an option)

Smiley360, Smiley, Product Testing, Free Samples, Paid Surveys

I have been product testing on their website for 7 years now, and I’ve honestly gotten some pretty cool stuff! My favorite item I have received (because I use it every day) is a $100 Sleep Number pillow!

This is another product testing site that offers an incredible selection of items. In your Dashboard area, Smilely360 will display a “mission qualifier”, which is a simple survey to see if you are a match to test the product being offered.

After you have accepted your mission, you are sent a package that usually gives you coupons to pass out to friends and family, along with your product to test. Smilely360 leaves an open window of roughly 2 – 4 weeks to complete your review activities (sharing on social media, etc). Once completed you will earn points that increase your chances of being sent on more missions.

Aside from just offering full-size products to test, you also will receive notifications to be mailed samples, and coupons for other products.

McCormick, Product Testing, Free Samples, Paid Surveys

McCormick Consumer Testing

Definitely a foodie paradise, McCormick partners with numerous brands to offer you the chance to try flavorful meals, seasonings, sauces, gravies, etc.. They are open to those living in the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom.

I will say that this is not one that sends a ton of product testing opportunities, but when they do send them, they’re really worth it.

Most of the products I have seen featured are ones that companies are thinking to put out on shelves in the grocery stores, however, they want more feedback on packaging, taste, verbiage, and which flavor would be a hit or miss.

I highly recommend McCormick Consumer Testing to anyone who loves to cook, try new flavors, and who honestly wants to help keep high-quality ingredients in our boxed and packaged meals.

  1. This is awesome, I am such a freebie junkie! I’ve never heard of some of these, but I would love to give one or two a try. Thanks for sharing!

    1. My favorite is BzzAgent and Smiley! I’ve gotten the most freebies from them! And the free monthly subscription boxes (Pinchme is my fave) is pretty awesome too! 😀

  2. That’s a good list. I will likely try one or two of them. This is so helpful to people who are trying to supplement their income. Is it hard to get approved? Thanks for sharing it, okay.

  3. Great guide for blogger beginners. I have tried Influenster. But so far I haven’t got any freebies yet. I will try some of the companies listed above.
